This last week

Cole tried his first popsicle!  I got the zoku popsicle maker and we've been trying all kinds!  This one is pears, i think he prefers warmer pears, but it was fun to make!

And this is Cole's new recliner!  It is covered in Chargers fabric, but we will be recovering it with a 49ers theme.  It was just too good of a deal to pass up!

And we finally have one set of before and after pictures from our house.  We have COMPLETELY finished Cole's room.  Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of the before, but I do have a pic from the next room over and it was pretty similar.  This is the before, please note the old fashioned closet doors, old carpet, trim and paint color.  One wall in Cole's room did have wall paper that I'm pretty sure had been there since the house was built (1968).  It was fake books on fake shelves.  It was bad!

This is the alphabet wall!  Lots of fun to make!  New closet doors and trim!

Shadow boxes with stuff from the baby showers and the hospital.

Hand print, sonogram and the letter R.

Baby bed, elephant bedding and reading corner!

Time Flies

Time sure does fly!  I can't believe it's almost been a month since my last post, we must really be having fun!

Since the last post so much has happened.  Cole is officially a roller, he can roll all over the living room!  Sometimes he does get stuck on his stomach and needs some assistance getting back over.  Cole can also sit now, he got his second tooth, and he is officially a fan of solid food!  Yesterday was Cole's 6 month bday, I can't believe it's already been a half year and that in a half year we will celebrate his first bday!

Eating and First Tooth

We have our first tooth!  It is razor sharp!  I can't get a pic of it, but here's Cole enjoying his high chair, playing with toys.

And here's Cole enjoying some squash, he absolutely loves it!

5 Months Old!

I can't believe our baby is 5 months old!  Where has the time gone?  He has just recently gotten to the point where he enjoys being in his exersaucer or johnny jumper for longer than about 5 minutes.  Here he is in the johnny jump up, eyeing his crazy zany zoo toy.
Here he is enjoying the exersaucer.  This pic is from a week ago.  This week when he's enjoying this toy the book is gone and his feet reach the ground, I swear he grew about 3 inches in the last week!
And here is his monthly picture with the lion, don't you love that grin!  He's growing way too fast!
This last week also had a couple more milestones that were not documented with pictures (we need to get better at bringing our camera places!)  My 26th bday was on the 7th and this last Sunday was my first Mother's Day!

Hanging with Avery

Last night we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with some margaritas and Mexican food with our friends Rachel, Joe and Avery.  Avery is 9 months old and this was the first time the kiddos had seen each other since Cole was about 5 days old.  She is a doll and it was neat to see where Cole will be developmentally in the next couple months!

Here is there first sight of each other.
They decided they were happy about meeting each other!
Cole chilling in the nap nanny, Avery wanting to see what's going on.

Avery was interested in Cole, but she was very much into Ryan.  She was even batting her eyelashes at him!

These kids are cuties!

Trying Solid Food

This week we started solid food!  We decided to start with rice cereal.  After checking out the baby food aisle and looking at the ingredient list on the packages for rice cereal, I decided we would be making our own.  As an early birthday gift my mom got me the Baby Bullet.  This thing is cool, I never thought I could be so excited about pureeing rice mush!

Here Cole is right before getting started.  I like this picture b/c it looks like he is saying 'give it to me now!'
Excited to try it, making sure I get the spoon in his mouth.
You might say this baby takes after me in the gagging department.
 Unsure but optimistic.
 And we're through.
We tried a couple times this week and decided that we may not be quite ready for solids (although, after sampling rice cereal I'm not sure I'm any more of a fan than Cole).  We'll try again next week.
